GORINCHEM \u2013 The anniversary edition of Bakkersvak & IJs-Vak, which was planned to take place in March 2021, will be postponed to March 6, 7 and 8 March, 2022. Trade show organizer Easyfairs has come to this decision in consultation with the exhibitors and other partners. The most recent developments, such as the Covid-19 variants, the lockdown and the current prohibition on events, make it impossible to host trade shows on a short term basis and highly uncertain at a later stadium. \u201cWe, therefore, decided to postpone the trade show to 2022\u201d, explains Rowdy van den Nieuwenhuizen, Head of Content at Easyfairs. <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bakkersvak & IJs-Vak postponed in consultation with exhibitors<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The postponement of Bakkersvak & IJs-Vak to 2022 has been decided in consultation with all parties involved. \u201cWe find it of high importance to listen to our exhibitors and their needs and wishes. We have made an inventory among our exhibitors with regards to their view to let Bakkersvak & IJs-Vak \u00a0take place on the current date or to postpone it to 2022. The majority of our exhibitors chose to postpone their participation to 2022 and we, therefore, have decided to postpone the trade show for the bakery sector by one year.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cBy making this decision at an early stage, we have created clarity for our exhibitors, partners and visitors. However, at this moment in time, the postponement to 2022 is the only correct decision. We will do everything we can to ensure we have a fantastic trade show next year. We already developed a few new concepts to introduce in 2020 and 2021, which connects with the current affairs of the bakery sector. Obviously, we will continue to work on these concepts and we will also include Next Level in 2022, our new top floor. It promises to be an unforgettable edition in every way.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Professional competitions<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2022, the professional competitions will also be held again on the exhibition floor in Gorinchem. \u201cAt the end of 2020, we already expressed our intention to continue the collaboration with the artisan ice cream industry. Together with all cooperation partners, we will also look at the digital possibilities to put the winners of 2021 in the limelight. The same applies to the Dutch Pastry Award, with which we have always had a pleasant cooperation in the past\u201d, says van den Nieuwenhuizen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

After the anniversary edition took place in 2022, the organization will focus on a “Bakkersvak & IJs-Vak 2.0” in 2023. \u201cDuring the 10-year anniversary, we are going big. In 2023 we will launch a new form of the trade show which is future-proof. This will take further shape in the course of this year. We already have a starting date for that edition, namely March 5, 2023. Please circle it in the agenda \u201d, concludes van den Nieuwenhuizen<\/p>
